April Fools has finally rolled around, and I have unwrapped my famous fake dog poop. Each person I encountered today got a good hello from my dark, rubber friend. I placed it outside one friend’s door and cried, “HOLY CRAP! DOG POO!” And she got freaked out, then I kicked it toward her and she screamed but ended up laughing. It was hilarious.Usually I get quite forgiving reactions, it’s what I expect & how I would react, shaken, but amused.
So, I tried this on another friend when we parked the car. I sneakily placed the poop on the roof and put on a good act of disgust and horror. She was grossed out & boggled as to how it had come to be on her car. She really thought it was genuine poop, and It got to the point where she leaned in to sniff it and she handed me a plastic bag to get it off. I leaned in to pick it up, then suddenly flung it at her. She screamed and immediately stormed off. I stopped laughing when I realized she was completely furious.
I called after her and said, “I’m sorry, what’s wrong?”
“That was rude.” She mumbled, walking away faster.
What did I do wrong??? I thought it was a harmless joke? Am I being insenstive?
