dog waste bags

My Dog hates dog food and prefers my cats “Friskies” (any flavor) he’s tried 10 brands of well known dog food, I have been mixing in friskies just to get him to eat it so it doesn’t go to waste, but I want to just buy 2 bags of friskies at this point… He is a Papillion if that matters! I am just sick of him literally starving himself before he eats it, and for the last month he after him gettign very thin I started using friskies… So is this ok if he just eats friskies!?
Ok well he did starve himself, I had to take him to the vet because he went 3 days without eating anything… and my vet said there was nothing wrong with him after a very expensive visit there was still no answer… thats when I stoped with eukenuba which he was eating for the last year… He has never gotten sick or anything from friskies, but because of his lack of eating he is getting acid build up in his stomache and now and then he just vomits out stomache acid…
He also hates rice and chicken, I do need him to gain weight so maybe cat food wont be so bad if it is fatty… I can always give him the other vitamins after the fact… The only human food he really likes is potatoes in all forms… (so mixing in human food doesn’t help me to much)
my cats food is on the fridge, I never just give him all cat food, it’s mixed in with right now the brand is Beneful… about a month ago I learned he would eat friskies after months of this struggle my cats food fell on the floor and he loved it!!! Thats when I started this half and half mix of cat and dog food, but dog food just seems like a waste of my money since he hates it!
also I am not really overly concerned he is a clueless dog, I just pour his food and walk away I don’t care to make him a 5 star meal here people, I wouldn’t care if he hated it, just I don’t need a case of the movie “Thinner” happening to my dog! It’s not like I go crazy trying to find the food either I just grab the next thing on the shelf if the last led me to the same situation, but it seems the general answer is it is fine for him to eat friskies if it’s mixed in with some other dry food, so I will just continue as I am doing and just stick with beneful/friskies mix instead of going all friskies, thank you!

What to do if a cat ended up getting flea and tick control for dogs on it and licked it off and got sick?

flea control

One of my friends helps this elderly lady out. the other day she asked them to put flea and tick control stuff on the cat. the next day the cat was sick and shaking. They looked at the container and it said it was for dogs. is it dangerous that the cat licked it of of her and what will happen to the cat? What should they do about the cat when they can’t afford to take it to the vet? Will it kill the cat? What are some bad signs that could happen to the cat?

flea control

I have just read all of the horrible things that happen when people have used hartz flea control. I just adopted a 5 month old puppy and turns out she has fleas. I used the Hartz Flea control about 9 hours ago, when i find out I immediately rinsed her off. I was wondering what are the symptoms of the Hartz flea control so I know if I need to take her to the vet?

dog poop bags

My dog got into a bag of dog kibble while we were not in the same room, and he ate way more then hes used too. his stomach was bloated and full for multiple hours when after we separated him from the food. Since then hes been pooping a lot , almost every hour, should we wait it out, or could there be something more wrong that only a vet could attend too?

Hes a 50 lb English bulldog, one years old.

Which Glyco-Flex formula should I use for Grade 1 luxating patella?

dog waste bags

I’ve ordered Glyco-Flex I Soft Chews for my 6 pound maltese dog. The last time we saw the vet, she told me that my dog has SLIGHTLY loose patellas (knees) but that it wasn’t serious and didn’t require treatment yet. The vet said that if it worsens, she would consider starting cortisone treatment. Basically, it’s a very minor looseness at this stage and nothing to be concerned about. I’m assuming it’s a grade 1 right now… I’ve noticed her “hopping” at times, but it only happens rarely.

My question is: Is Glyco-Flex I the right formula for my dog, or should I be using Glyco-Flex II? I just bought a new bag of Glyco-Flex I so I’m hoping that it is the right formula so that I haven’t wasted my money.

What’s the difference between the two formulas? The website gives such a general description, it doesn’t help me at all.

Thanks kindly in advance for your help!

Is it safe to use a second dose of flea control stuff on my cat?

flea control

Turns out my dog has a small case of fleas(thank god its not a huge thing), so I gave my cat a thing of zodiac spot on (the stuff that goes on the back of their neck) yesterday except when I put it on I didn’t really notice any of it as his fur usually gets oily for two days…it’s normal now. The vet gave me 3 Advantage treatments for him, would it be safe to put one of the treatments on him? He is a few months over a year old. Also, do flea collars really work?

Ever give the treat T-Bonz to your dog?

dog poop bags

I got these treats, they look exactly like a t-bone and the centre is red like raw meet.

My dog’s poop tonight was half normal colour and the other half was red like firetruck red! I bagged it in a panic and put it in my fridge to drop it at the vet in the morning, of course thinking ‘blood’. Then I remembered about these t-bonz I had put in his kong in the morning!

Ok, so that I don’t look stupid in the morning at the vet….let me know if you’ve experienced the same thing with these treats.

Thanks,
Thanks guys…it’s the first and last time I get those.

dog poop bags

My dog has been to the vet recently, and the did say she was perfectly healthy. I have ofen wondered if her poop is to soft. Usually when i take her for walks, some of the poop gets stuck to the grass, and it is very sqishy in the poopy bag. However, yesterday her poop was firm and it stayed in shape when i picked it up.

Is it better for the stool to be hard, or soft?

Is There Something Wrong with my Dog?

dog waste bags

My Dog has been out of sorts recently. He is a Yorkshire Terrier and is almost One. He has had many Problems in Different Situations.

1. When we got him, he had certain Bowl Problems. He could not Release Waste Properly. Mostly Through Constipation and the hair on his bottom making it very painful to go. Although i spent about 2 Hours Shaving his Behind and Feeding him wheatabix, The Situation has barely Changed. He still Finds Himself Having trouble with the hair on his bottom and the Size the waste is coming out at. I am loosing Options on what to do. I cannot keep bathing him then spending hours getting it off his behind. To make it worst Today he couldn’t even lift his legs nor sit down. Anyone?

2. Throat: During the Few First weeks of having our Dog, we were moving a old couch out. He is ’spooked’ by anything that changes in the house and jumped at my father’s Legs. In shock he dropped the chair were it landed on his Neck. He could not breath properly and we took him vet. She gave him a anti-inflammatory needle which helped. Although a week later he started acting strange. He does a odd kind of cough/choke. He repeats this about three times although he does not cough anything up. He also does a strange belching repeatably. Although the vet claims hes fine. But every time i take him a walk i know the vets wrong. He does a REALLY Loud choking noise when trying to run ahead of the lead. It sounds like a really croaky duck noise. I think its serious and need advice or help. Anyone?

3. He is Lactose Intolerant. No matter what i do. He always gets his hands on chocolate. Floor, bins, cups, dishes, next door, garden, bin bags. So he comes in and vomits. Its not a good lifestyle as chocotlate causes cancer and vomit causes weight loss. He really is strange, he will eat anything, but once chocolate or chewing gum comes into the question he will hunt it down. He takes gum off shoes, wrappers and bins. Its very hard to beat him. We have taken action with Proper Metal Bins for the garden. We have cut off any openings to others gardens and kept chocolate off the floor. Though he still comes vomiting from chocolate. Is there anything i can do??? Anyone?

Any Advice on anything here????? Please Reply ASAP tyty.
